Flute Studio Information
Since 1992, Kerry Shaffer has been a passionate and dedicated teacher,
encouraging students to do more than just play the notes on the page. Her former
students have been award winners at music competitions and have gone on to receive
Master of Music degrees. Flute lessons will be flexible, catering to each student’s
needs. Students must be prepared to work hard and to put into practice the four
major elements of good musicianship: intelligence, integrity, elegance and emotion.
Kerry Shaffer offers private flute instruction to only the most committed students in
the Middle Tennessee area, however coaching is also available.
Students will have the opportunity to perform in studio recitals with piano
accompaniment in my home. Please see the Studio Recitals page for information.
Fee structure: Lessons are paid for in advance, by the month (paid in the first week
of the month).
